Stoke Abbott Street Fair
Stoke Abbott's annual Street Fair attracts visitors and locals alike with its magical combination of traditional attractions, kids activities, live entertainment and the chance to wander around traffic-free lanes.
The event kicks off with the traditional 'Stoke Abbott Sick Club' parade at 1.45pm, a tradition dating back in one form or another to 1870.
From 2pm, enjoy an exciting array of stalls, a fun Family Dog Show, a classic car display, ferret-racing, craft displays, Splat the Rat and the Slippery Horse.
Children are invited to come in fancy dress with a parade in the dog show ring at 3.30pm.
There's live entertainment throughout the village and the award-winning New Inn pub garden will have live music and a barbecue.
Set out along the lanes, traditional village-run stalls will include cakes, plants, jams, jewellery, second-hand clothes, linens and the popular Book Barn.
Proceeds this year will go towards Bridport's The Living Tree & Stepping Out, supporting those affected by cancer, as well as St Mary's Church and the village hall.
Parking (free) from the Beaminster end only. Opening time 2pm to 5pm. £1.00 entrance fee.
