Situated about two miles northeast of Weymouth, between Preston beach (Lodmoor) and Bowleaze Cove lies Overcombe Beach.
A southeast-facing shingle beach with some sand, it is usually less crowded than Weymouth's main beach and is a favourite with watersports enthusiasts such as canoeists, kite surfers and windsurfers.
There is limited pay and display parking at the beach, with further parking over the road and at nearby Lodmoor country park to the southwest.
Facilities include food, toilets, disabled toilets, shops and litter bins.
There are some great walks along the South West Coast Path, east over Redcliff Point to Osmington Mills and Ringstead Bay or southwest to Wemouth and the Isle of Portland.
