The beach at Boscombe Pier is sloping sandy stretch considered safe for bathing.
Family friendly with a Kidzone area, there is a wide range of seafront activities including windsurfing, surfing, canoeing and amusement arcades. A land train service runs the length of the seafront.
There is a lifeguard service here in high season. The south facing beach is popular for surfing as well as bathing and sea kayaking. There are amusements and entertainments on the pier. There is also a promenade stretching towards Bournemouth town centre.
