We source our products locally whenever possible including Tickle Tum pork newly laid eggs (from our own hens which are free to roam in the garden) our own homemade jams and marmalades and finally our own grown fruit & veg when in season. We offer a warm welcome and friendly service all rooms are en-suite and tastefully refurbished to a very high standard. br / br / br / br / Your Aga cooked breakfast will be served in the conservatory where you can enjoy the shade of the grape vine which is reputedly over 70 years old. In warm weather you are welcome to breakfast on the terrace where you will glimpse parts of the informal half acre garden. The garden is a work in progress. The drawing room has big comfy sofas for a relaxing evening with a log/coal fire in the winter. Heathcote House is the perfect place for exploring the captivating county of Dorset with countryside little changed from the times of author Thomas Hardy. br / br / br / br / There is plenty to occupy you whether you want to visit a historic house or garden walk in some of the most unspoilt countryside through historic landscapes. There are Museums and attractions to suit all interests and the dramatic World Heritage Jurassic coast is within easy reach. All the sporting and leisure activities are in abundance.
Hill House is an elegant and traditional bed and breakfast, a short walk from Blandford’s town centre, and is ideally suited for both business and leisure guests. Its two luxurious bedrooms (adapting to a choice of super king, twin or family room) are spacious and uniquely decorated with high quality furnishings and sumptuous beds. The en-suites have both baths and showers. Hilltop Barn is situated in the picturesque village of Winterborne Zelston. 1/4 mile from the A31 between Wimborne and Bere Regis and is ideally placed for visiting Hardy Country . It is situated in a quiet and peaceful location above the village with wonderful views of the Purbeck Hills to the south the Dorset Downs and Cranborne Chase to the north and is within 15 minutes of the towns of Poole Wareham Wimborne and Blandford. It is an ideal base for those wishing to explore rural Dorset either by foot bicycle or by car. It is within easy reach of Wareham Forest Studland Kingston Lacey Lulworth Cove and the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. br / br / br / br / Our bed and breakfast accommodation comprises of two double and one twin/ double bedroom each with en suite facilities. Tea and coffee making facilities hairdryer and television/ DVD/ Freeview in each room. There is a selection of DVDs and books available for your enjoyment. Whilst evening meals are not provided we live within a pleasant stroll of a local public house that serves good quality pub food or we can recommend other places to eat if you wish.
Portman Lodge is the main wing and entrance into a large Victorian building originally known as St Martin’s House. The house was built for Lord Portman’s estate in the late 19th century and is thought to have been a residence for choristers for St Martin’s church. The majority of the original fixtures and fittings remain, in particular the attractive Victorian tiled floor in the entrance hall and corridor. The accommodation offers 3 double rooms, one of which can be used as a twin when required. All rooms have en-suite's with both bath and shower facilities. The rooms also have radio and television, hairdryer, trouser press and hospitality trays. All 3 rooms are individually decorated with their own theme and as they are situated to the side and rear of the building are quite quiet and protected from any traffic noise from the adjacent road.
